Sheet index from a drawing set
Open a PDF and get every sheet number in it, against its page, ready to paste into a drawing register. The file is read in this tab by your own browser and never leaves it.

How it reads a sheet number
The number is taken from the title block, which on nearly every set is the largest piece of text in the bottom-right corner of the sheet, in a pattern like A2.3, S-101 or M101. On a real 49-sheet set it reads 45 of them.
- A scanned set has no text to read. This says so rather than returning an empty list, and the page count is still right.
- A sheet whose number cannot be read is listed by its page, with the number blank. It is never guessed from a filename or a sequence.
- Sheet titles are not read. Four ways of finding one were tried and the best was right about six times in ten, which in a drawing register is worse than a blank: nobody checks the ones that look right.
- Nothing here checks a drawing. It reads a list, which is the one job it has.
